First off, before I go into some random explanation of who I am, where I live, what my interests are, etc., I'll just inform you that this is a friends-only blog. To view any future entries, you'll have had to be my mutual friend on LiveJournal. Of course, you can always add me for whatever reasons, but if I, for reasons I probably won't disclose, do not add you, there's the end of the road on this blog (or for you). I've had LiveJournals in the past and all of them have turned out messy. I won't be making the same mistake again.
Unlike what I normally do, for this LJ, I won't be adding random no-names whom I've never heard of in my life. I may make a few exceptions here and there, but if you'd like for me to add you as a friend, I'd appreciate it if we could get to know each other better, preferrably (though not necessarily) through MSN, before I decide whether I want to add you or not. Details on contacting me (messengers, e-mail address, the like) is available in my profile. If I find I like you, I just may add you....
Well, for those of you who don't know (and if you don't, what are you doing here? :P), my name is Kanakavallee, though I also go by Krishnaa. (Most like to shorten it down to "Krish" or "Krishie". It really doesn't matter to me.) I'm originally from India but was mainly raised in the U.S., and I'm a Rock music freak. Had enough? *sticks out tongue*
I currently live in South Florida (not telling you where) and I'm a freelance guitarist, I write songs and stories, compose music, climb trees like a monkey and pretty much spend my days imitating the Hunchback of Nortredame with my partner-in-crime, the computer keyboard. I should devote more time to my Fender, which currently happens to be my best friend (can you tell I'm anti-social?), but as I can't seem to locate my guitar book... I'll get to it later.
I'm a Hindu, unsurprisingly. (Well, it doesn't surprise me -- obviously -- but many seem to jump through the roof when I find out.) I'm pretty religious, but I really need to wash out my mouth. I have a habit of going over-the-top in crassness, and ocassionally just being down-right rude. *shrugs* If you can't take a little bit of pain, you may as well be off now. I say what I mean and I mean what I say, if that makes any sense.
My favourite, and probably my best subject, is English. I'm a fanatic of linguistics and the Anglo-Saxon kingdom and the history of English, and have a habit of spending my free time by researching just how the Norman invasion (William the Conquerer, Battle of Hastings... ring any bells?) caused French influence to change the English language so drastically in the course of one and a half centuries. And how English ended up being so different from French, as well. Olden English was a Romance language, not the little chicken spit of confusion it is now.
Erm... yea. Moving on....
In terms of music, while I usually listen to bands such as Kamelot, Epica, etc. (Gothic/Symphonic/Power Metal), my favourite band happens to be Thirty Seconds to Mars. *starts singing Capricorn (A Brand New Name)* While I'm not a member of the Echelon (not yet, rather), I am a big supporter and honestly feel you should go and check them out. They aren't for everyone, but if you have an open mind and good music taste, you may like them.
I make graphics using Paint Shop Pro XI. Trust me when I say I have a long way to go, but I'm fairly satisfied with the work I've conjured up over time. I ain't a pro, but for someone who scraps the tutorials, I think my work is okay.
To top off on my level of madness, I'm a vegeterian. Go, run in fear and hide behind your chicken! ;) But don't worry. Vegeterians aren't crazy, contrary to popular belief, and before any of you start questioning me, I'm not vegan.
So, if I interested you (and you're a member of LiveJournal), go to that little bar up top and click "Add them as a friend". Like I said, unless I know you (and want to), I won't add you right away, but messengers and e-mail conversations are always an option to get started off!

P.S. If you're adding me, I'd appreciate it if you could drop a comment, or something to the like, so I know.
